About the work
As most of the time, this artwork is a combination of painting, photography and digital post processing.
In May 2017, Geert won the ArtPrize Francisco Goya during the Barcelona art biennale and in December 2017 he was elected as "ART MASTER" of ACCADEMIA ITALIA IN ARTE NEL MONDO ASSOCIAZIONE CULTURALE, in Lecce It.
This work is part of Geert Lemmers’ project about the influence of our environment on happiness: “I think happiness is strongly affected by the direct surroundings and its décor. Probably that is why people spend time and money on setting up and developing their living environment. My artwork reflects this phenomenon and emphasizes the importance of planning and designing our environment in a more colorful and playful way.
