In mei 2017 won Geert de ArtPrize Fransisco Goya tijdens de kunstbiënnale Barcelona en in december 2017 werd hij verkozen tot “ ART MASTER " VAN ACCADEMIA ITALIA IN ARTE NEL MONDO ASSOCAZIONE CULTURALE, in Lecce It.

This work is part of Geert Lemmers’ project about the influence of our environment on happiness: “I think happiness is strongly affected by the direct surroundings and its décor. Probably that is why people spend time and money on setting up and developing their living environment. My artwork reflect this phenomenon and emphasizes the importance of planning and designing our environment in a more colorful and playful way.
